Tour FAQs
How do I reserve a tour?
You can book your tour online or by calling us directly at (724) 456-4983. Reservations are required for all tours and events.
Are walk-ins allowed?
To ensure a quality experience, we limit tours to 25 guests, so advance reservations are required. Walk-ins may be accommodated if space allows, but we strongly recommend booking ahead.
Is the Manor wheelchair accessible?
Most of the main floor and gardens are accessible, but due to the historic nature of the building, certain upper and lower areas may have limited accessibility. Please contact us before your visit so we can accommodate your needs.
What’s included with the tour ticket?
Each ticket includes a guided (or lightly guided) historic tour and a delicious lunch served at 12:15 PM. Special experiences like meeting “Mark Twain” or the quilt code presentation may also be included depending on the day.
What ages are the tours appropriate for?
Our tours are family-friendly and children are welcome. Children under 6 are free, and we offer child pricing for ages 6–12. We also offer interactive elements like scavenger hunts and storytelling that kids enjoy.
What if I have special dietary needs?
If you have any dietary needs, please make your reservations through a phone call to the Visitor’s Center at (724) 456-4983.
Where do I park and enter the building?
We ask everyone to park in the rear parking lot and follow the entry instructions at the lower door Lodge entrance.
What is a British High Tea?
British High Tea is also a working man’s dinner in England, which is why hot meat dishes and hot sides are also included.
Can I just come for lunch and not take a tour?
We would prefer you do both but if you just want to come to eat, we can give you a $3 per person refund when you register before the lunch begins.
Can I just take the tour and not stay for lunch?
We are happy to give you a to go container with your lunch if you choose not to eat it. Our tours are designed as a gracious 2 hour experience that includes a meal. There is a $3 refund if you decide not to stay for lunch.
How long do the tours last?
The tour/meal experience is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Can I reserve a table for my group for Teas, Luncheons or Dinner events?
All advance reservations for community events involving a sit down meal will get a table to themselves with their name on it.
Can I cancel my reservation or change the number of tickets?
We ask that all cancellations/refunds require 48 hours notice as a courtesy. Please call the reservation line (724) 456-4983 to see how the policy works for your reservation. All group events require 15 to 30 days notice to receive a refund. Each contract stipulates the cancellation policy for that event.
